My Favorite 75 Albums Of 2009 — Dec. 17
Posted By Ben W. on December 17, 2009

Another day, another dose of album countdown.
27. In And Out Of Control — The Raveonettes
The Raveonettes deliver the best album of their career. It’s dark, distorted, incredibly well-crafted pop from start to finish.
26. Primary Colours — The Horrors
The Horrors had the look and the sound to be stars. Unfortunately, their debut album lacked the songs to seal the deal. Not the case on this superb sophomore effort. They’ve tightened up the songwriting significantly, producing a couple of 2009’s most exciting singles (“Who Can Say” and “Sea Within A Sea”).
25. Goodnight Oslo – Robyn Hitchcock
The formula is simple. Intelligent lyrics. Wry sense of humor. Strong melodies. Solid guitar-pop arrangements. Clean production. Ten songs. All of them good.
