A new genre of music that turned up around 1991. Its base elements weren’t terribly original. But the ingredients combined to form something so fresh and new it dominated the airwaves for the better part of the next half-decade.
Grunge, right?
Wrong.

In one of the year’s stranger sub-plots, Diddy loves the Arctic Monkeys. I mean, really really loves. He and Arctics drummer Matthew Helders are always talking in interviews about how they’ve become great friends. Strange.
